WWE legend Tammy Sytch has been arrested for alleged unlawful possession of a weapon and making ‘terroristic threats’.
The 49-year-old star – who was inducted the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011 and is considered the company’s first Diva – was arrested in Keansburg, New Jersey on Thursday morning and taken into custody at Monmouth County Jail.
Although the exact nature of Sytch’s alleged crimes are unclear, jail records list three charges for her arrest.
There are two charges for illegally possessing a weapon – listed as ‘other’ which suggests it wasn’t a firearm – and one for ‘terroristic threats’.
As reported by TMZ, the NJ statue reads: ‘A person is guilty of a crime of the third degree if he threatens to commit any crime of violence with the purpose to terrorize another or to cause evacuation of a building, place of assembly, or facility of public transportation, or otherwise to cause serious public inconvenience, or in reckless disregard of the risk of causing such terror or inconvenience.’
It should be noted the nature of the alleged threats is also not currently clear.
In New Jersey, there are no felonies or misdemeanors, as the state instead has degrees, with a lower degree meaning more potential jail time for a defendant.
The weapon charges – classed as third degree – each carry a potential prison term of three to five years, while the threats charge could carry up to a one year prison sentence.
Sytch has had problems with the law in the past, as she was arrested for DUI – the sixth time she’s been arrested for the charge – in February 2019.
In July 2020, she was arrested on charges of eluding a police officer, violating a domestic violence restraining order and operating a vehicle during a second license suspension.

She was released on June 9, 2021, and later that month she told WrestleZone.com: ‘I am happy to be finished with my sentence and I am anxious to start the next chapter of my life. I am healthy and happy and feel great.
‘The incident which led to this last incarceration stemmed from some major misunderstandings. However I accept responsibility and have used this time to make a better me and put my past mistakes behind me.’
She added: ‘I will take a couple months this summer and decide what my next steps are professionally and make decisions about where I’d like to live and work.’
