WICKEDNESS! ! ! University Students Refuse To Help Friend As He Drowned In Pool Because He Was Admired By Girls

Still on the news of individuals who drowned in a pool due to their inability to swim very well, it was brought to the awareness of the general public and the people of Abuja about how three friends abandoned and watched their colleague drown in a pool because ” his father was wealthy and he was very famous and the toast of many beautiful girls in the university of Abuja ” .

The results of the police investigation into the incident

It was reported that FCT police command of the Nigeria Police Force arrested the three students of the University of Abuja over the death of their colleague, named Emmanuel Aigbokhalode Balogun, who drowned in the swimming pool.

However, Mr. Balogun Aigbokhalode, who was 17 years old, was said to have gone to The Dome hotel pool, which was a fun spot in Abuja that was close to the university over the weekend when the incident occurred.

After the police investigation, it was discovered that after Mr. Balogun Aigbokhalode was drowning in the Dome hotel pool in Abuja, his three friends who accompanied him there abandoned him and watched him drown because ” his father is a wealthy man and he was the toast of many of the beautiful girls in his school” .

According to CCTV footage obtained by the police officers of the FCT Police Command from the Dome hotel in Abuja, it was recorded that the suspects took the deceased’ s clothes, phones, and money and returned to the school without informing anyone of what had happened to Mr. Balogun Aigbokhalode at the swimming pool.

According to a friend of the Aigbokhalode family members, it was a female friend that eventually informed Mr. Balogun Aigbokhalode’ s mother of her son’ s death the next day.

The young girl, who was also a coursemate of the deceased at the University of Abujа, called the mother of Mr. Balogun Aigbokhalode, informing her that they did not see her son in class.

She also went further to tell the parents that something suspicious may have happened to their son because it was unusual for Balogun Aigbokhalode to miss his class or any lecture in school.

Immediately, the mother of the deceased notified her husband about the call she received from her son’ s coursemate in which they drove to the university premises on Monday night to check on their son, but he was no where to be found.

After some police investigations, it was discovered that a party was organized for first year students over the weekend at a hotel called the Dome Hotel in Abuja, which was close to the university premises.

On getting to the hotel, the parents of the deceased were told by the hotel management that their son drowned in the swimming pool at the hotel.

12- year- old school boy drowns to death while swimming with friends in the Ilorin River

In the same vein, it was brought to the awareness of the general public and residents of Ilorin on how A 12- year- old boy who was identified as Lekan Benjamin drowned to death while swimming with his group of friends at Asa River in Ilorin, Kwara State.

It was reported that The director of the Kwara State Fire Service, Falade Olumuyiwa, who was present at the scene of the Incident Made mention of how the Incident happened on Tuesday afternoon which was the 9th of November, 2021.

Mr. Falada Olumuyiwa further stated that the victim, who was a student at the Junior Secondary School in Ilorin, went to swim with some of his classmates while they were returning from school because they closed on time that very day, but Mr. Lekan Benjamin eventually drowned in the Asa river.

In his words,

” All we know is that is that the Kwara State Fire Service attended to one rescued operation, at around 1: 21 p. m on Tuesday afternoon which was the 9th of November, 2021, at Ejiba Road off Stadium road, Ilorin, Kwara State. ”

” According to the Kwara State fire officers present at the scene of the Incident, the victim was later identified as a 12 year old boy, Mr. Lekan Benjamin who hails from Oja- iya Area of Ilorin, who went to swim his classmates at the Asa- river before he was eventually drowned in the river due to his inability to swim very well. ”

Moreover, it was reported that the lifeless body of Mr. Lekan Benjamin was recovered from the Asa- river by the Kwara State firemen and handed over to his biological father named Mr Monday Benjamin before evacuating the scene of the Incident.

Finally, the Director Kwara State Fire Service, Falade John Olumuyiwa (CFO) had sent his condolence message to the the family of Mr. Lekan Benjamin and therefore, advised every parents to be very watchful over their children’ s movement and whereabouts so as to prevent future similar occurrences. ”

Two Secondary Students Who Sneaked Out Of School To Swim, Drowns In Ekiti River

In the same vein, it was brought to the attention of the general public and students in Ekiti State that some secondary school students who sneaked out of their school during the school day for a swimming competition on Friday afternoon, November 12, 2021, were discovered dead inside the Ureje river in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.

According to reports, the 13- year- old and 15- year- old boys were students at Ado Grammar School, which was located along Ado- Ijan- Ikare Akoko in Ekiti State.

However, a Local source who was present at the scene of the incident told some newsmen on Saturday which was the 13th of November, 2021 that the two students were among the seven pupils, who were said to have jumped through the fence of their school and gone for the swimming competition.

After the police investigation conducted by the police officers of the Ekiti State Police Command, it was discovered that four of the pupils had jumped into a deeper area of the Ureje river, which stretched from Ajilosun and flowed to the Odo Ado region of the capital city, only to discover that two other boys were nowhere to be found, and they immediately raised an alarm for help.

” We discovered that the academic works were ongoing when they escaped from their school and went to for a swimming competition in Ureje river and two of the students were trapped in the mud and died inside the river, ” the source said.

One of the survivors stated that four of them jumped into the river before they noticed what was happening. The two victims were no longer floating on the water of the Ureje river.

Moreover, the people who were on the river cliff had to run to a farmer who works around the river. It was with the help of the farmer who called on some swimmers who were also farming in that area that came to the rescue of the two students that were still afloat before bringing out those who eventually drowned in the river.

The sources also added that they later went to the school premises to make complaints about the incident to the teachers and the principal of Ado Grammar School, which was located along Ado- Ijan- Ikare Akoko, Ekiti State.

Finally, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti Command, DSP Caleb Ikechukwu, stated that the lifeless bodies of the two students have been deposited in the Ekiti State morgue.

In his words,

” We discovered that the students escaped from the premises and went to the river for a swimming competition bit eventually got drowned. As we speak, Their lifeless bodies had been taken to the mortuary for examination” .

Mr. Caleb Ikechukwu further stated that the other students who were part of the swimming competition would help the police officers of the Ekiti State police command in conducting a thorough investigation into the horrible incident that just occurred at the river.
