A stuntman was stabbed to death while filming a music video outside a busy London tube station, horrified witnesses have said.
The unnamed man – in his early twenties – was fatally knifed amid chaotic scenes on Brixton High Street in south London last night.
He had been hired to perform stunts for a rap music video outside Brixton tube station before being attacked.
Paramedics and an air ambulance team battled to save him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene at 8.45pm.
One person who saw the incident said the victim was murdered by “jealous haters”.
A security guard, who works at a store nearby, said: “One of our customers said the victim had been shooting a music video with two Lamborghini sports cars involved, but people saw it and got jealous.
“The guy who got stabbed had been hired to perform a stunt in the video.
“They were just young teenagers making a video and then some kids of similar age attacked them.
“It was a music video about Brixton which mentions the market so that’s why they had decided to shoot it here.
“One of the cars was fluorescent orange and the other fluorescent green.“
Eunus Mian, 39, who works at a Subway sandwich outlet near the scene of the stabbing, said: “I heard a big loud bang and then saw people running past the shop.
“I thought maybe a car had crashed or something, but when I went outside, I saw two bikes and three cars.
“There were police and ambulances everywhere.”
A Met Police spokesman said: “An investigation is underway after a man died following a stabbing in Brixton.
“Police were called at 8.18pm on Wednesday to reports of an assault close to Brixton Underground Station.
“Officers attended and found a man, believed to be aged in his early 20s, suffering from a stab injury. They immediately provided First Aid.
“Paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance also attended, but despite their efforts the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 8.45pm.
“His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by officers. Formal identification has not taken place. A post-mortem will be held in due course.”
He added: “A man was arrested nearby on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
“Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command have been informed.”
