SHOCKING REVELATION! “He Didn’t Turn Students Into Yam, Here Is What Really Happened, “- Oyo Government Revealed

The Oyo State Commissioner For Education, AbdulRahman Abdul- Raheem, has disproved the rumors going around that some students were turned into tubers of yam by a man labeled as ritualist by an angry mob.

Recall that, on Friday, 3rd of December, the rumors of how a man was beaten by an angry mob in Ibadan community where they accused him of turning two students into two tubers of yam along Bashorun area of Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State.

It was later confirmed that the man is having a mental problem and was accused of turning two students from the Bashorun High School into two tubers of yam which resulted in an attack by some angry youths in the community who nearly killed him as he was being beaten mercilessly.

According to the Oyo State Commissioner for Education, AbdulRahman, said, in the course of investigations into the matter, it revealed that the suspect was innocent of the charges against him. He confirmed that the occurrence was just a figment of ingenuity.

AbdulRahman, after paying a visit to Bashorun High School revealed that the school management didn’ t have any case of missing pupils, adding that their students are all completed the following day in the school. He added that further inquiries were being made and they find out that the man was not mentally stable.

During the course of interrogating him, he told the officers that he was innocent of the charges against him.

” Why would people be saying human beings are turned to yam, I don’ t believe in that kind of thing. It was my grandmother that sent me to go and buy the two tubers of yam and some diapers for kids which they saw with me, I didn’ t turn anybody to yam. ”

AbdulRahman said, ” We followed him to his house which we met his grandmother and he testified that she was the one who sent him to buy the tubers of yam and diapers for kids. She is verified that the man is having a mental issues. “
