And now royal fans can snap up one of the Jenny Packham dresses for themselves as it’s gone on sale – but it has an almost £4,000 price tag.
The gown, called the Goldfinger sequinned cape dress, was originally thought to have been custom-made for Kate.
But it has emerged it is actually part of the designer’s 007 capsule collection, which went on sale this week to mark 60 years of James Bond.
It is available to buy via online retailer Farfetch for £3,917 – and there are only limited sizes left.
According to its listing, the dress was inspired by the “iconic image of Jill Masterson painted in gold and laying on James Bond’s bed in the 1964 film ‘Goldfinger’.
It adds: “This dazzling gown is covered with metallic folded sequins and crystals on a base of glitter tulle.
“A floor-length embellished cape is draped over the shoulders and down the back to complete a truly scene-stealing design.”

At last week’s Bond premiere, Kate teamed the dress with a pair of Aquazzura heels and wore her hair up off her face to show off her beautiful gold earrings by Onitaa.
And she seemed to get the approval of Bond, with Craig telling Kate: “You look jolly lovely.”
Also attending the premiere was the Duchess of Cornwall who wore a pale blue corseted chiffon dress with silver embroidery by Bruce Oldfield.
