Police, military task force rescue abducted Plateau Polytechnic students

The Plateau State Police Command said the Command and OPSH personnel have rescued the three students of the Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin Ladi, kidnapped Wednesday night.

DAILY POST recalls that three students of the institution were abducted at about 8pm on Wednesday in front of their hostel.

The police had in collaboration with the military task force responsible for the maintenance of peace in the state code named Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) had arrested a suspect in the early hours of Thursday.

Confirming the development, spokesman of the Command, ASP Ubah Ogaba said, “The team of Police and OPSH deployed to rescue the victims kidnapped yesterday (Wednesday) at Ban Village behind the Plateau State Polytechnic have rescued them today, January 13, 2022, at about 14:30 hours unhurt and are presently with the police.”

Ogaba said efforts are still being intensified to arrest other perpetrators of the act.
