Police in Spain are hunting a missing British musician who vanished after leaving a restaurant where he had dined with friends.
Jonathan Pickford’s van and two dogs have been found but the search is continuing for the guitarist and singer.
A social media appeal has been launched for information on the expat, who lived in the eastern Costa del Sol resort of Torre del Mar.
Pickford’s Jersey-formed group ‘A Band Called O’ were once championed by legendary radio presenter and DJ John Peel.
The musician left the restaurant between the inland villages of Alcaucin and La Vinuela on the night of August 29 to drive back to his home.

His white Spanish-plated Citreon Berlingo van was found in an area known as Los Moras, a 40-minute drive north-west of Malaga.
His pet dogs were beside the vehicle, thought to have been abandoned after a crash.
A passing motorist reportedly helped Jonathan, known by his nickname of Pix, after seeing he was in difficulties.
The musician was wearing jeans and a black T-shirt with a Jack Daniels logo on it when he went missing.
Several police forces have been mobilised to help in the search for him, although none has yet made any official comment.
British expat Jo Ramsay-Whale, a close friend, said in a social media alert before his missing van and dogs were found: “A best buddy and well-known, local (Axarquia, southern Spain) musician Pix Pickford has been missing since Sunday night, 29th August.
“Last seen over dinner with friends in a restaurant between Alcaucin and La Viñuela that night, he left to drive back to his home in Torre Del Mar, didn’t arrive and hasn’t been seen since. The police are actively searching on the ground and by air but neither Pix, his vehicle nor his two dogs that were in the vehicle with him have been found.
“He was driving a a white Citroen Berlingo van, registration B0190TN, and was accompanied by his two medium-sized dogs (20-25kg), one beige and one shiny black. Both dogs are chipped and have also been reported as missing.”
She added in a later post: “If anyone is going that way, I believe Pix was/is headed for the airport although now not with his van, so please keep eyes peeled.
“He was thought to have been seen at a bar in Antequera on Friday, after leaving his van. The police are aware.”

A Band Called O, featuring Jonathan on guitar and vocals, has its own Wikipedia page.
It was formed in Jersey around 1970 as ‘The Parlour Band’. Under their original name the band released a 1972 album called ‘Is a friend?’.
They changed their name to ‘A Band Called O’ after relocating from Jersey to Leicester and went on to record the first of four Peel Sessions on September 24 1974.
They later went on to shorten their name simply ‘The O Band’ before disbanding at the end of 1977.
Pix Pickford had a brief solo career, releasing two singles: “Long Drop” and “Are you Rockin'”, before moving to Spain to play with ‘Racket’ comprising Pickford, Nik Ramsey and Arturo Tore.
