A nightclub in Bristol will charge revellers £10 for an on-site coronavirus test if they arrive at the venue without a negative result.
Motion has pledged to turn customers away if they refuse to show evidence that they have tested negative within the past 48 hours.
Another venue in the city, Lakota, will also only allow people in if they have an NHS Covid pass or a negative test within the last 24 hours, BristolLive reports.
It comes as nightclubs across England prepare to reopen on Monday as the Government ends all coronavirus restrictions.
Motion said its £10 fee for a lateral flow test will pay for medical staff at the club and also go towards the ordering and processing costs.

The venue said: “In line with Public Health’s Guidance, we require all attending customers to provide a lateral flow test before coming to the venue and enter their results into the NHS COVID-19 app.
“We will be checking your result on the door. Should you provide a positive test result, then you will not be permitted to enter the premises.
“You will be asked to show your negative results regardless if you have had a vaccination or a valid vaccine passport.
“If a negative test can not be shown on entry, a limited amount of lateral flow test will be available on site but will be subject to a fee of £10.”
Meanwhile fellow Bristol nightclub Lakota has announced it will accept customers who can prove they are double-jabbed.
A statement issued on Facebook by Lakota stated: “Although the government have indicated that covid passes are not a requirement, the health authorities and council have very strongly advised us to run such a policy.
“As such, we believe that it is the responsible course of action for us to take as our customers’ health is of paramount importance.
“Doing so will allow us to keep on running large capacity events and provide a safe place where everyone can hug, dance and celebrate freedom once again.
“We will check the COVID status of our attendees on entry by proof of negative lateral flow test or vaccination via an NHS COVID pass (obtained after two vaccinations).
“Visitors will be able to show text or email confirmation of a negative lateral flow test result – provided that this test is negative and has been conducted within the last 24 hours.”
Lakota will be hosting one of the first UK’s first festivals after coronavirus restrictions ease from July 19 with a Summer of Love festival hosted at a secret location in North Bristol and the same entry restrictions will apply.
