A mum says she was left mortified after posing naked for a charity calendar – only to realise she was supposed to be fully clothed when the pictures were released.
Clare Pert and her friends had arranged to put together the calendar to raise money for a local hospice and the mum bravely modelled for her month of April, with only a yellow duck teddy protecting her modesty.
But when the group later sat down to review their creation together, it quickly dawned on Clare as they looked through January, February and March’s photos that she had “screwed up massively”.
The business analyst from Leeds had assumed it was a naked calendar after it was mentioned briefly in passing, but the rest of her friends posed fully clothed or in swimsuits, and they now jokingly warn Clare “not to turn up starkers” every time they make plans.

Clare was recently reminded of the embarrassing incident, which took place back in 2010, when it came up as a Facebook memory and she decided to embrace her initial embarrassment by sharing the story in a viral post.
The mum to three boys, who blames the misunderstanding on “baby brain” having been 16-weeks pregnant at the time, said: “I’d never done a naked photoshoot before. And, come to think of it, I now know none of my friends have either.
“I chose to be April as that was when my son was due. My turn came, and I went into the photographer, took all my clothes off and proudly announced: ‘Where do you want me?!’
“I couldn’t understand why the photographer and his wife were so shocked – but I put it down to me being the only pregnant lady maybe.
“They had just seen January, February and March’s lady gardens, so why was I any different?
“Roll forward a week, I sit down with my 11 other friends, all looking through the pictures. January, February and March came, by then I knew I had screwed up massively – they all had either clothes or swimwear on.
“I was mortified seeing myself absolutely starkers, with just a massive yellow chick covering my bits, I will never live that down.”
Clare turned up late to the photoshoot and being in a rush, she says she didn’t think to check if anyone else was getting their kit off and hurriedly stripped off and headed into the studio.
It’s a mistake the mum has never been allowed to forget as it still remains her friends’ favourite topic of conversation.
The mishap recently popped back up on Facebook as a memory and – after a couple of glasses of wine – Clare decided it was the right time to give everyone else a laugh.
The post has since gone viral with more than 17,000 likes and 2,000 comments, as other people replied with their own embarrassing moments in a show of support.
Clare added: “I literally just spent all day reading through the comments and the funny stories and the messages.
“I didn’t see one negative message and everyone was so nice – I shared it because it was such a stupid thing to do, and it took off!”
