A lucky man has won the lottery three times in 20 years, claiming over £600,000 in prize money.
Mehmet Ozer, 50, won the EuroMillions, the UK National Lottery and the Turkish National lottery between 1998 and 2019.
His first win came in 1998 when the man was on holiday in Turkey and played National Turkish Lottery on New Year’s Eve, walking away with almost £300,000.
The lottery winner used the money to help his family members pay for their expenses such as buying a house and going to university, My London reports.
Then on another occasion in 2016, he walked into a Co-op shop with his best friend after finishing work at his upholstery business in Islington, London.

He explained: “My friend was in front of me [in the shop] and he got the [EuroMillions] Lucky Dip and then I got the Lucky Dip, within a few seconds of each other in the Co-op supermarket.”
That evening, Mehmet forgot to check his ticket and was unaware of his luck until the following morning.
He said: “On Saturday morning, I had to go to work early in the morning.
“I was having tea and reading my newspaper and then all of a sudden I realised I hadn’t checked my lottery [ticket].
“I started looking at it, I think the second line from the bottom [of the ticket], a number came up and then a second one, third one, fourth one, fifth one and one of the lucky stars.”
Mehmet said he was “in shock” and checked the ticket multiple times to make sure he had read it correctly.
The lucky Londoner walked away with £303,465.20 and called his friend who also could not believe that he had won.
To celebrate his prize, he travelled to Italy, where he visited Rome for the first time and then bought a flat in London.
Mehmet said: “It was a happy time, I was dreaming of coming back home and how I would have over £300,000 in my account, I couldn’t believe it was true, it was a nice weekend trip.
“When I came back I purchased a flat.”
In 2019, Mehmet won a third time playing the UK National Lottery after getting five numbers on the ticket.
He was paid £1,750 and claims he was told he could possibly win once again.
The businessman said: “They paid me £1,750.
“The lady who came to give me the champagne and the cheque said that people who win the lottery have more chances of winning again.”
Thanks to his luck, he has lived securely even during the coronavirus pandemic.
He said: “Of course it’s scary watching the news and seeing what’s happening, no one knows what will happen.
“I did lots of walking in the park when I had time. I felt secure.”
