This horrifying video shows a man’s terrible sunburn that left his back completely red – highlighting why you should always be careful when the weather is scorching.
The man, named Grant, travelled from the city to the coast so he could enjoy the fine weather – but things didn’t go as he planned as he soon fell asleep.
He lay facedown for an hour and a half, and by the time he woke up the damage was done – he had suffered horrendous sunburn that caused him pain and kept him awake for weeks.
The video was filmed back in 2013 in Bournemouth, but with most of the UK currently baking in a heatwave, it serves as a timely reminder to always wear suncream while tanning.
What do you think about Grants terrible sunburn, is it worth the risk? Let us know in the comments
In the video, a woman can be seen applying sun cream to Grant’s back while he grimaces in pain, and another man walks around filming his friend.
The man said: “This is grant’s back, it looks painful – this was from our day out in Bournemouth. Put your arms up so we can see the difference, ridiculous.”
When Grant lifts his arms, pale white skin can be seen where it was hidden from the sun – and it is a stark contrast to the fiery red of the rest of his body
As cream is applied to Grant’s back, he said: “Oh my God, even my face is red – look at it. I’ve never been in so much pain.”

Meanwhile, a video has recently gone viral showing a poor woman’s back covered in several blisters after she decided to soak up the sun at a popular holiday spot in Antalya, Turkey.
The clip was captioned: “The result of sunbathing without applying sun cream.”
Some of the blisters were so large and severe that they had started to weep, serving as a stark reminder to other sun worshippers that protecting your skin from the sun is an absolute must.
