The Lagos State Police Command has summoned some labour leaders over the crisis rocking the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN).
DAILY POST recalls that workers under the auspices of All Workers Convergence (AWC), had earlier issued a twenty-one-day ultimatum to the national body of ASCSN to reinstate the suspended national President of the union, Comrade Bola Audu.
National Co-ordinator of AWC, Comrade Andrew Emelieze also urged the union to settle all disputes surrounding the suspension of the President.
Emelieze said that the reinstatement order had been endorsed by the congress of the union.
DAILY POST recalls that Audu and the Deputy Secretary-General of the union, Comrade Princewill Akamo and other officials of the union were said to the wrongly suspended.
The union has been engrossed with series of crisis since the purported suspension.
DAILY POST gathered that the state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu had invited some of the labour leaders to appear before him.
National Co-ordinator of All Workers Convergence (AWC), Comrade Andrew Emelieze, confirmed the invitation to DAILY POST on Monday.
He noted that he and other labour leaders have been called to appear at the police headquarters today.
Emelieze said, “Comrades please take note.
“I am asked by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police to report to the state command on the ASCSN crisis, this morning by 700hrs.
“Am going in company of some of our Comrades. We will get back to you. Please note for necessary actions in case things turn around. Regards Comrades.”
