Peter Andre has refrained from discussing the growing list of cosmetic procedures his ex Katie Price has undergone throughout the years – instead focusing on raising the children, Junior and Princess, they share together.
However, it appeared as though that all changed when it was recently reported that Pete was left unimpressed when his former wife approved of their daughter Princess, 14, going under the knife should she want to when she’s older.
Yet, the 48-year-old hasn’t always been so anti-plastic surgery having admitted in 2011 to having had a nose job aged 24 and also several non-invasive cosmetic procedures.
The Mysterious Girl revealed at the time that he had undergone three Botox treatments, both before his relationship with Katie and during their marriage.
He told The Sun ‘s Buzz Magazine: “I have had Botox… I’ve had it three times – before I got married, just before I ended my marriage, and after my marriage. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.
“I also had a nose job when I was 24. But I think it’s all good in moderation and it’s not something I’d want to do constantly.”
Despite having a few ‘tweakments’ of his own, the I’m A Celeb alum has taken a swift U-turn on his stance more so for his daughter Princess, who has insisted that she won’t follow her mother down the cosmetic surgery route.
In April, the former glamour model, 43, said her mini-me daughter Princess had no plans to go under the knife.
No stranger to plastic surgery, Katie begun her turbulent love affair with cosmetic procedures when she got her first boob job at the age of 18.
Princess loves to get glamorous with mum Katie and sports stunning makeup looks for photographs shared on Instagram — while her strict dad Peter prefers her more natural snaps.
But having seen what her mum has gone through with botched surgery over the years, Princess has promised she’ll never have plastic surgery.
Katie said on Steph’s Packed Lunch: “Princess has said, ‘I’ll never have surgery Mum, especially seeing what you’ve gone through’. She would never do it.”
As one of the biggest reality stars in the UK, Katie said her famous offspring has been brought up to know filters and editing tools can be used to alter Instagram photographs.
However, the TV star said the same can’t be said for “most girls” who genuinely “believe what they see” online.
In the past, Peter’s wife Emily MacDonagh appeared to publicly agree with his new view on cosmetic procedures.
The doctor made a pointed dig at people who get unnecessary surgery, just weeks after Katie jetted to Turkey for a face lift and Brazilian Bum Lift in 2019.
“I think it’s the surgeon’s responsibility as well to give honest advice about whether or not someone needs surgery,” she wrote in her OK! magazine column.
“If you’re paying for a procedure, it’s easy for surgeons to just agree to do it and take the money, but really their responsibility is to ensure they don’t do anything unnecessary.”
Emily added at the time that she didn’t believe patients need their mental health to be assessed before going under the knife as it’s still “up to them”.
“I don’t necessarily think you need to have a full mental health assessment before cosmetic surgery, because as long as you understand the risks and you’re able to weigh up all the information – even if other people may think your decision seems unwise – it’s totally up to you.”
Recently, the former glamour model’s relaxed attitude to going under the knife allegedly “caused some concern” with Peter – and her other ex Kieran Hayler.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Katie is “completely supportive” of her daughters Princess and Bunny should they want cosmetic surgery when they’re older.
The 43-year-old has recently undergone a spate of ‘tweakments’, including full body liposuction, eye and lip lifts, in Turkey after getting engaged to fiancé Carl Woods, 32.
A source told Heat magazine : “It all stems from her saying she will let them have surgery when they’re older – especially the girls – which has gone down like a lead balloon with both dads.
“Her friends feel she’s just trying to get a rise out of them and is being controversial for the sake of it, but Katie doesn’t see what the big deal is at all about kids wanting to have surgery done if there’s something that’s bothering them.”
Katie’s comments allegedly left Peter, who she shares Junior, 16, and Princess, 14, with, “completely in despair” when she discusses cosmetic surgery in front of them.
