Publishers operating under the aegis of Imo Newspaper Publishers Association, INPA, will troop to the poll on Saturday, 18th September, 2021, to elect a new executive to run the affairs of the association for the next three years.
The election holds at the popular Old English on Item Street Owerri, Imo State at 11:00am prompt.
According to the Secretary, 2021 Electoral Committee, Gele Agbai, elections will be conducted for all the elective positions in the association.
The positions are Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Assistant Secretary and Treasurer.
Others are Public Relations Officer, Financial Secretary and Provost.
Agbai expressed happiness at the interest this year’s elections have generated within the association.
He commended the contestants and their supporters for conducting themselves peacefully during the campaign period.
INPA was founded in 2011 by the Publisher of Announcer Express Newspaper, Nze Joe Anyama of blessed memory.
Anyama became its pioneer Chairman. The association has had three other chairmen after Anyama namely Chief Bright Chimezie Njoku,, Apostle Lambert Ojukwu and the outgoing Chairman, Hon. Henry Ekpe.
