Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Albert Akpomudje has said ten Communities in Olomu Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State have been in darkness since 2017.
The legal practitioner disclosed this to newsmen at his Country home in Akperhe-Olomu Community shortly after he was presented as the third most senior titled holder to the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, HRM.(Dr.) R.L. Ogbon Ogoni Oghoro I JP by the ruling houses.
Chief Akpomudje expressed anger over the slow pace of development in Olomu Kingdom.
He said, “Am feeling really embarrassed. Imagine that in the whole of Olomu even with all the bigshots we have, we do not have a bank, we do not have an ATM, we do not have a higher institution. No networks. 10 villages are in Darkness since 2017.
“I took it upon myself to fight it legally but it’s not everything you win legally.”
He said his concern is to see that all communities in Olomu Kingdom should have electricity.
Chief Akpomudje who promised to use his influence to attract developments to Olomu Kingdom said, “What we need is light. Little developments and of course everything will boom.”
“We have a magistrate court, so our people don’t start trekking distances to get justice.”
