A couple decided to transform their garden by painting their patio – and their efforts show you don’t need to spend hundreds to transform the space.
Rebecca and Jamie have an Instagram account to show off their renovation tips after buying a new build home.
Recently, they demonstrated on their account ournewhomeatno8 how they brought new life into their greyed patio slabs – and it only cost £30
In the video, they shared the stained patio beforehand and said the couple decided to paint them instead of forking out to rip them up and put new slabs down.
They used Sandtex Masonry Paint in the shade Plymouth Grey, which is designed for use on concrete, followed by a sealant.

The paint cost £31 – and half of the tub covered the patio area, as well as the path leading up to it – with three layers applied.
The empty space that was there has been transformed into a nice seating area – perfect for these summery evenings when you want to spend more time in your garden.
The couple wrote: “If you’re looking to upgrade your slabs on a budget, this is the way to do it!”
Viewers loved the cheap tip the couple shared and many revealed plans to do the same as soon as possible.
One viewer wrote: “Absolutely AMAZING!!! You make me keen to do it.”
Another commented: “Oh looks fab. I’m going to do this. Had the paint for months and not got around to it yet.”
A third added: “Wow, a wonderful transformation!”
