Lyon would be willing to let Bruno Guimaraes join Arsenal on loan if a €45 million (£37.5m) purchase clause is included in the deal, according to reports.
The Gunners have identified Guimaraes as a potential addition this month with Mikel Arteta keen to improve his midfield options before the end of the window.
Arsenal are also understood to be in advanced talks with Juventus over a loan deal for Arthur Melo.
Any deal for Guimaraes this month is expected to be difficult as Lyon are desperate to keep the 24-year-old at least until the end of the season.
But according to Get French Football, Lyon would be open to selling Guimaraes if their asking price of would be willing to let Bruno Guimaraes join Arsenal on loan if a €45m (£37.5m) is met.
The report also claims that Lyon would be open to letting Guimaraes leave on loan, but only if a compulsory purchase option of €45m (£37.5m) is included.
When asked about his future in a recent interview with Globo Esporte, Guimaraes insists he is placing his faith in his agents to decide his future: ‘It’s normal, even more in the window period.
‘When you’re an Olympic champion, you have a good season individually, you’re called up to the national team… it’s normal things in football.
‘I don’t even like to think too much. I leave it more to my agents, for them to solve.
‘My objective is to take Lyon to the place where they deserve. We’re in the round of 16 of the Europa League, it’s a title that Lyon don’t have. Let’s fight hard to try to conquer it.’
