Nigeria midfielder, Kelechi Nwakali has said interim coach, Augustine Eguavoen invited him for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations because he is a good player.
According to him, he is not bothered by the mixed reactions from fans and the media over his inclusion.
Nwakali made the Super Eagles’ 28-man squad despite playing in the Spanish second division.
“I’m not under any pressure, because if I’m not good, the coach won’t call me.
“What I owe the coach is to give my best in every training session and the game, and to make sure I live to expectations.”

Nwakali made his debut in the 1-0 win over Egypt on Tuesday.
